Congrats to Adam, Daniel, Kyle, and Carson S. for winning the OAAC Froshmore Championship at Redlands Community College in El Reno. Our B Team finished 5th and was within five points of upsetting the their team mates in the final game. Clutch city!
Congrats to the team for placing runner up at state! We had two tough losses against Claremore, one in the morning and one in the championship. We beat Jenks to get back to play Claremore; toughest match of the day. Rumor is that Connor was supposed to be there, yesterday! Thanks to Mr. Coffelt for his support. The Beierles, Ann Traylor, and alumns Jonathan Miller and Rida Raza were there for support, too.
The Science Bowl team won the Oklahoma Regional and qualified for the National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C. We last won in 2011 and were runner up by one question in both 2012 and 2013. The team is made up of Gavin, Adam, Peter, and Aadithya. We squeaked past Booker T. Washington and Collinsville after losing to last year’s champion Deer Creek. It was a nail biter of an afternoon!
With our 390 average we are the highest seed in the state, outpacing Tulsa’s private high school Bishop Kelly by 30 points. Now it’s time to bring home the trophy for the first time since 2002!
